Emotional Intelligence reflects how a person interacts with and applies his or her knowledge to the immediate situation. Broadly speaking, emotional intelligence addresses the emotional, personal, social, and survival dimensions of intelligence.

It is concerned with understanding oneself and others, relating to people, and adapting to and coping with the immediate surroundings to be more successful in dealing with environmental demands.

  Advantages of using EQ-i:

A large normative database
Supported by more than 17 years of research
A multidimensional scope (a total EQ scale, five EQ composite scales, 15 EQ subscales)
Four validity indices
A correction factor designed to adjust for response bias
An international and multicultural focus – data obtained from scores of sites in North and South America, Europe, Asia and Africa
Very good statistical reliability and validity
Versatility – the EQ–i can be used in corporate, educational, clinical, medical and research settings
The premier measure of emotional intelligence
A brief and easy to use measure (can be completed within ½ hour)
Appropriate for most individuals aged 16 years and older

BarOn EQ-i® has been tested on over 100,000 individuals worldwide.

The BarOn EQ-i® comprises 133 brief items and employs a five-point Likert-type response set ranging from (1) “Very Seldom or Not True of Me” to (5) “Very Often True of Me or True of Me”. It takes approximately 30-40 minutes to complete.

The BarON EQ-i® is very versatile in business environments in which the 4 validity indices and a sophisticated correction factor, the BarOn EQ-i® renders scores for the following scales and subscales:

I. Intrapersonal Scales II. Interpersonal Scales
  Emotional Self Awareness   Interpersonal Relationship
